My Journey in the Cleaning Industry
The Beginning
Before stepping fully into the cleaning industry, I spent years working in the public sector in leadership and coordination roles. That experience shaped my understanding of systems, organisation, and how large operations function.
Seeing the Gap
Although my professional path was progressing, I realized there was something I had always loved: creating clean, organized, and well-managed spaces. That passion eventually led me to step into the cleaning industry and begin building a company that reflected the standards and excellence I believed were possible.
Building the System That Scale
As I worked in the industry, I began to notice a major gap. Many cleaning businesses worked hard but lacked clear systems, structure, and operational standards. That discovery led me to focus on helping cleaning businesses and organisations build stronger systems, train teams, and deliver consistent, professional service.
My Story
My professional journey began in public service, where I spent over a decade working within government. During that time, I served as a Senior Assistant to the First Lady of Ekiti State, Nigeria, HE. Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi. The role exposed me to leadership, coordination, and responsibility for managing initiatives that brought together government officials, community leaders, and advocacy groups on issues such as healthcare, women's empowerment, children's welfare, culture, and community development.
Those years shaped my understanding of organization, structure, and how complex systems operate. They also gave me the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds while contributing to initiatives that created meaningful impact.
After those years in public service, the question for me was no longer whether I would pursue something different. It became a question of when I would finally step into what had always been close to my heart.
I have always been drawn to clean, organized, and well-kept spaces. I appreciate the calm and clarity that a well-maintained environment brings to people's lives. That personal interest eventually led me to enter the cleaning industry and build a company from the ground up.
What started as a simple idea soon became a deeper pursuit. As I worked in the industry, I noticed that many cleaning businesses were hardworking and committed but often lacked clear systems, operational structure, and professional standards. Without those foundations, maintaining quality and growing a business becomes difficult.
That discovery shaped the direction of my work. Today, I focus on helping cleaning businesses and organizations build stronger systems behind their services. Through consulting, training, and operational guidance, I help teams organize their work, improve their standards, and deliver consistent results.
I am also the founder of Platinum Beam Concept, a premium cleaning company focused on transforming everyday spaces into environments that support comfort, well-being, and lifestyle.
Alongside this, I created The Business of Cleaning, a learning platform where aspiring and existing cleaning entrepreneurs can access practical knowledge, community support, resources, and tools to build sustainable businesses in the industry.
